Through TGC, fellows have traveled to Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Philippines, Republic of Georgia, Russian Federation, Senegal, and Ukraine.

Where There Be Dragons Global Educator Travel Courses
We are dedicated to cross-cultural education because we believe that future leaders will be required to think beyond borders and address the implications of resource scarcity in our global community. In this work, we feel part of a larger movement in education and want to help nurture and develop that movement however we can. To this end, our educator courses are designed to help teachers and administrators grow as global educators in and out of the classroom.

Through the NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship, educators develop the knowledge and skills to integrate global competency into their daily classroom instruction, advocate for global competency in their schools and districts, and help students to thrive in our increasingly interconnected world. Fellows transform their classrooms to give students a global perspective.

Fund for Teachers supports educators' efforts to develop skills, knowledge and confidence that impact student achievement. By trusting teachers to design unique fellowships, Fund for Teachers grants validate teachers' professionalism and leadership, as well. Since 2001, Fund for Teachers has invested 30 million in nearly 8,000 teachers, transforming grants into growth for teachers and their students.

FULBRIGHT SHORT TERM PROGRAMS - 3 TO 6 MONTHS
Through the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program, U.S. K-12 teachers and educators can apply for grants to engage in collaborative projects for approximately 2-6 weeks abroad, with a preference for 3 or more weeks. Participants consult with and support schools, non-profit organizations, teacher training institutions, and other educational organizations abroad. This short-term program is offered in addition to the longer program, which is for a period of three to six months. The grant award provides funding for program expenses while abroad, including travel costs, lodging, meals, local transportation, and related expenses. These grants give U.S. educators flexibility to participate in the Fulbright Program while meeting their teaching and professional commitments.

Teach Earth offers teachers the opportunity to experience scientific research first-hand, providing you with the tools to make science come alive in your classroom. Each year, we select talented K-12 teachers from all subject areas to be part of this unique professional development opportunity. Teachers have the opportunity to learn the scientific process first hand and help to solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. Teachers return to the classroom with new perspectives and knowledge, invigorated and inspired to share the experience of real discovery with their students.
The scholarship, awarded annually, enables a qualified educator to participate in an educational scuba diving trip. CEDAM will cover the full cost of the field trip, including an allowance for meals and reimburse up to $1,200 for air transportation . REEF Field Surveys are led by REEF staff or expert volunteers; participants have the opportunity to collect data, participate in daily talks, and interact with REEF members, staff, and local partner organizations. This is a hands-on experience during which participants have the opportunity for experiential learning in and out of the water.

Each professional development program is 8 days in length. On-course fellowship expenses for accepted fellows are subsidized by EPI through scholarship. After scholarship, program fees range from $250 to $600. This program fee is due November 1st and covers all meals, lodging, and activities while on course. EPI works hard to ensure that program fees are not obstacles to participation. When other professional development funds are not accessible to cover program fees, EPI has a limited scholarship pool available to support those who would not be able to attend otherwise. These limited need scholarships are meant to diversify and promote inclusion in the EPI Teacher Fellowship community. Each participant is also responsible for purchasing his/her own round-trip airfare to the designated program city; all other costs are paid by EPI. There is no cost to apply.
